Every anime has its fair share of weak and powerful characters, and One Piece is no exception. The series is filled with many strong characters and the most powerful of them all are the Four Emperors. The Four Emperors or Yonko, are the four strongest pirates that rule the seas.
One of the Yonko is Charlotte Linlin who is also known as Big Mom. Charlotte Linlin is the captain of the Big Mom Pirates. She has all three kinds of Haki, which you would expect from a Yonko. Big Mom possesses the Soru Soru no Mi that allows her to steal the souls of other people. Big Mom is a terrifying pirate and not many people are capable of taking her on. In this post, we will discuss five characters who can beat Big Mom and five who can't.
10 Can: Shanks
Shanks is a Yonko and the captain of the Red Hair Pirates. He is the only Yonko without a devil fruit. Shanks is also the youngest Yonko out of the four. Shanks hasn't fought anyone on-screen as of now. However, he has clashed against Kaido before the war of Marineford. Shanks is certainly not a person who can be overlooked when it comes to the strongest characters in the series. Shanks is also capable of using all three types of Haki, and he was actually the first person to display any type of Haki in the series.
9 Can't: Dracule Mihawk
Dracule "Hawk Eyes" Mihawk is known as the "Strongest Swordsman in the World." He was rivals with Shanks, who is currently a Yonko. He possesses one of the few Saijō Ō Wazamono grade swords. Mihawk's feats are impressive, but those are nowhere near that of a Yonko. He clearly admitted that there is a difference in his and Whitebeard's power. Mihawk's powers are easily above that of a regular pirate, but if one would start to believe that it is enough to fight a Yonko, it would just be fooling yourself.
8 Can: Whitebeard
Whitebeard died the death of a hero at Marineford. He left behind a legacy, which won't be forgotten. While he was still alive, Whitebeard was called to be the "Strongest Man Alive." Whitebeard is known as the only person who could match Roger.
He possessed the Gura Gura no Mi that granted him the power to destroy the world. He was in a league of his own as we saw at Marineford. It took the combined efforts of the Marines and the Shichibukai to nullify the threat that he posed to them.
7 Can't: King
King is one of the newly introduced characters in One Piece. He is one of the Three Disasters of the Beast Pirates. King is pretty strong and his epithet is "King The Wildfire." He possesses the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Pteranodon. King is able to produce fire in his human as well as Pteranodon forms. King is very strong and he is very protective of Kaido's reputation. King threw back Big Mom's ship when they were trying to get into Wano. However, there is no doubt that the difference between the power of a Yonko and a Yonko commander is too much.
6 Can: Gol D. Roger
The name of Gol D. Roger is the most well-known name throughout the pirate world. Roger is the only person who conquered the Grand Line along with his pirate crew. Roger has been involved in many epic battles throughout his life. He has fought Golden Lion Shiki and Rocks D. Xebec. The fight vs Xebec, in particular, made him a force to be reckoned with. Roger has no confirmed devil fruit power, but his strength was immense even without it. Roger's strength was recognized by all of his enemies.
5 Can't: Kizaru
Kizaru is one of the Navy's top fighters. He has the Pika Pika no Mi which is one of the genuinely overpowered devil fruits. The devil fruit grants Kizaru the power to control light and use it while fighting. Kizaru's abilities cannot be overlooked.
He was able to beat almost all the Supernovas on his own. He was also able to fight with Silvers Rayleigh on an equal footing albeit he was injured by Rayleigh. Kizaru's powers make him one of the most feared Marines, but an Admiral cannot match the power of the Yonko.
4 Can: Rocks D. Xebec
Rocks D. Xebec is one of the legends in One Piece. He was the captain of the Rocks Pirates many decades before the current timeline. Big Mom used to be a member of the Rocks Pirates along with Whitebeard, Shiki, and Kaido. There is little to no information on his abilities, but he was considered by many to be an equal match to the future Pirate Gol D. Roger. So, it is plausible to assume that he could beat Big Mom in a fight.
3 Can't: Sabo
Sabo is the Chief of Staff of the Revolutionary Army and the sworn brother of Monkey D. Luffy. Sabo made his comeback in the series at Dressrosa. He fought as Lucy in the tournament at Corrida Colosseum and won the Mera Mera no Mi. Sabo proved that he was an equal match for an Admiral when he fought against Fujitora. Another thing to keep in mind is that Sabo didn't have 100% control over his devil fruit powers. He was still getting accustomed to his new powers. But, he is still a long way off from fighting a Yonko.
2 Can: Kaido
Kaido is quickly becoming a fan favorite since his appearance in Wano. To put it simply he is an immortal monster and to top it off, he has suicidal tendencies. Kaido has been defeated before, but he cannot be killed. Kaido has an unnamed mythical zoan type devil fruit that allows him to turn himself into an Eastern dragon. A big testament to Kaido's power is that he was able to knock out Luffy with just one strike. He is also able to use all three types of Haki. It won't be an easy fight for Kaido, but he has got what it takes to pull it off.
1 Can't: Silvers Rayleigh
Silvers Rayleigh was the right-hand man of the Pirate King. Rayleigh is by no means a pushover when it comes to fighting. Rayleigh is a user of all three types of Haki. He can also use Advanced Armament Haki and Observation Haki. Even in his old age, Rayleigh is a match for the strongest fighters in the series. Rayleigh was able to fight against Kizaru without any difficulty. Also, Kizaru said that in order to catch Rayleigh, he'd need more support.
