One Piece: 10 Rage Moments That Gave Us Goosebumps

Undeniably, some of the best moments in One Piece are the ones fueled by emotions. To be more specific, there’s no better way to get the fans invested than by implementing some good old passion and emotions into any given moment. That not only gets the fans to their feet, it also hooks in viewers to whatever ongoing narrative that the series is trying to convey.

Having said so, different emotions naturally produce various results. Whenever sadness is involved, there is bound to be tears; conversely, whenever rage is involved, there is bound to be hype. There is no shortage of rage-fueled moments in One Piece; here are the most notable ones that would surely give you goosebumps.

10 Sanji On Fire

Let’s kick this off with a more lighthearted entry featuring Sanji, Nami in a wedding dress, and a certain invisible man. A fan should already be able to connect the dots with this awkward line-up. Absolom abducted and tried to forcefully wed Nami, but he forgot to take Sanji’s anger into account.

Being the white knight he is, Sanji rushed off to the scene and let Absolom know if he wanted to marry Nami, he had to do so over his dead body.

9 I am Whitebeard

Any moment with Whitebeard in it is automatically certified badass; one that features an angry Whitebeard is even more so. Shanks, the youngest of the Yonko, gave Whitebeard a visit and tried to ‘advise’ him.

This naturally incurred the wrath of the World’s Strongest Man. He is Whitebeard, nobody tells him what to do, he tells everyone what to do! A brief clash ensued between the two Yonko because Whitebeard was having none of it.

8 Luffy Vs Hajrudin

The fastest way to grind the gears of a man like Luffy is to hurt his close friends or to get rid of meat right under his nose. Either should do the job just fine. When Hajrudin committed the former offense against a fighting bull named Ucy, Luffy was enraged.

What followed was a hype-inducing moment of Luffy laying a solid punch in the giant’s face. It was a very badass scene, to say the least.

7 The Rage Of Whitebeard

The bond shared by the Whitebeard Pirates is akin to one of a family. Any father would lose it if they were to witness firsthand the murder of their son, even a Yonko would find it hard to keep their composure.

Marine Admiral, Akainu, viciously impaled the life out of Ace – a terrible mistake that he would regret soon after. He got a beating like never before from Whitebeard himself.

6 Zoro In Punk Hazard

Every major arc in One Piece incorporates multiple smaller parts that form the whole arc. These smaller parts can generally be summarized as such: The Straw Hats suffer a swift defeat and the Straw Hats make their comeback.

It would certainly be frustrating if one were to suffer a fast and careless defeat after two years of concentrated training, especially to a proud individual like Zoro. Zoro told everyone to get a grip shortly after their failure in Punk Hazard, and he did so epically.

5 Zoro & Respect

Every fan decently acquainted with Zoro should know that he may come out as old-fashioned at times, and understandably so. He might as well be the sternest member of the crew, but again, the bar isn’t that high considering how lax the Straw Hats are.

As a reaction to the Straw Hats ignoring the basic pirate etiquette, Zoro flipped and delivered his iconic speech about respect.

4 Zoro Mad At The Residents Of Ebisu Town

Even though he might seem detached in most scenarios, Zoro can be quite the sentimental character given the right context. For example, he was rightfully enraged when he watched the residents of Ebisu Town ‘laughing’ at the demise of Shimotsuki Yasuie.

Little did Zoro, or audiences for that matter, know that this was their only way of mourning. Due to the aftereffects of SMILE, these poor souls lost every other means of expressing their emotions save for laughing.

3 Luffy Attacks Kaido

As stated before, Luffy always gets a mid-arc beating before the final boss battle. And Wano’s mid-arc beating came as a result of Luffy’s fury. How can he stay calm after witnessing his crewmates get roasted to shish kebabs by Kaido?

Of course, the Straw Hats escaped the incident virtually unscathed, but Luffy was too enraged to realize that.

2 Garp Wants To Kill Sakazuki

This has to be one of the most badass moments featuring Garp. Whitebeard might’ve beaten down Akainu, but Garp straight out blurted he would kill him. If it was not for Sengoku’s intervention, Garp would have done exactly that.

Garp was one of the strongest Marines present during the war at Marineford, and his power would have been heightened due to the influx of emotions from seeing Akainu kill Ace. If Garp had not kept himself in check, not even Sengoku would have been able to shield Akainu.

1 Luffy's Color-Depraving Punch

Luffy punching the color out of Saint Charlos and sending him right back to the manga realm was one of the most iconic rage moments in the series, if not the most.

This scene further confirmed just how highly Luffy values relationships. It doesn’t matter if the culprit was the World Government or a Celestial Dragon, they will get the fist if they mess with the future Pirate King’s comrades.
