One Piece: 5 Characters Everyone Wrongfully Thought Are Weak (& 5 Biggest Powers They Have)

The world of One Piece is filled with some extremely powerful characters who have done incredibly well to earn themselves a reputation among the fans. While the power and ability of some characters are quite easy to notice, others don't get to show it that often, which leads some to believe that they are weak.

Some of these characters are actually quite strong and have an arsenal of incredible abilities up their sleeve. Here are 5 One Piece characters who people often mistake to be weak and what their biggest known powers in the story are.

10 Everyone Thought Was Weak: Ace

Portgas D. Ace wad Luffy's brother and the man who led the Second Division of the Whitebeard Pirates. He was considered to be one of the strongest known characters in the story before the time-skip, however, afterward, he didn't appear to be all that impressive.

While Ace's full-power was never really revealed properly, he was strong enough to give Blackbeard a run for his money and even earned praise from Shanks as someone worthy of leading the Second Division of the Whitebeard Pirates.

9 Biggest Power: Mera Mera no Mi And Haki

Portgas D. Ace was a user of the Logia type Mera Mera no Mi which allowed him to freely turn into fire and control it as he wished. Being a Logia type, this ability made him extremely difficult to take on in battle.

On top of that, Ace was also a user of Armament Haki and Conqueror's Haki. With these abilities at his aid, he was a character few could take on and defeat.

8 Everyone Thought Was Weak: Trafalgar Law

The captain of the Heart Pirates, Trafalgar Law is a member of the Worst Generation and one of the main players in the Four Emperors Saga of One Piece. Just like Luffy, he aims to take down Kaido and make his presence known in the process.

After his fight against Doflamingo, Law is seen as someone who can't really make a difference against someone as strong as Kaido, however, in the time that has passed, Law has certainly gotten stronger, as seen in his fight against Hawkins, and later, his portrayal during the Onigashima Raid.

7 Biggest Power: Ope Ope no Mi

Trafalgar Law's biggest known power is the Ope Ope no Mi, the Devil Fruit also known to hold the ultimate power. This fruit allows him to create Rooms and control almost everything within them.

Law's Devil Fruit is extremely overpowered and is often nerfed by the author himself. If unleashed at full potential, Trafalgar Law can easily be among the strongest of the Worst Generation and someone worthy of being compared to Luffy.

6 Everyone Thought Was Weak: Bartholomew Kuma

A former Shichibukai and a member of the Revolutionary Army, "Tyrant" Kuma is a man who once held a bounty of 296 million berries. Among the Shichibukai, Kuma is often considered to someone right in the middle, in terms of strength.

It often goes unnoticed that he was strong enough to take down the entire Straw Hat crew at once even without getting serious. At Marineford, he was able to knock out an Ancient Giant with just one attack.

5 Biggest Power: Nikyu Nikyu no Mi

Bartholomew Kuma is a user of the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi, one of the most powerful Devil Fruits in the Paramecia class. It gives his paws on his palms that allow him to deflect anything he touches at the speed of light.

Kuma's Devil Fruit allows him to destroy islands with ease and travel anywhere instantaneously. A single hit from his ability is enough to end a fight and that's a frightening power to have, no matter which way you look at it.

4 Everyone Thought Was Weak: Sanji

Sanji is the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates and also one of the three strongest members of the crew. After the time-skip, he's barely gotten the chance to go all-out in battle which has led some fans to believe that he is weak.

However, Sanji is far from weak and is capable of taking out one of the Flying Six of Kaido without much trouble. In fact, he was strong enough to go up against King and brush off the encounter without much trouble at all.

3 Biggest Power: Observation Haki, Raid Suit

Sanji is an incredibly strong user of Observation Haki. After Luffy, he is the best user of this ability in the crew and he was strong enough to dodge one of Katakuri's jellybeans even when the Sweet Commander had looked into the future.

After Whole Cake Island, Sanji also got access to the Raid Suit which further amplified all his powers. Now, he's durable enough to tank attacks from characters such as King and hurt dinosaur Zoans, who are known for their extreme durability.

2 Everyone Thought Was Weak: Boa Hancock

Hancock is the Empress of Amazon Lily and the captain of the Kuja Pirates. Being a member of the powerful warrior tribe of Kuja, Hancock has incredibly powerful abilities up her sleeve.

She was considered by Sengoku to be an incredibly strong woman capable of making a difference in the Paramount War. Furthermore, she was one of the very few characters who didn't even receive a scratch in the battle of Marineford even when she destroyed an army of Pacifistas and toyed with Sentomaru.

1 Biggest Power: Mero Mero no Mi, Kuja Haki

Boa Hancock's strongest power is, undoubtedly, the Mero Mero no Mi which can turn anyone who finds her attractive into stone. But that's not all, this Devil Fruit even works on inanimate objects that aren't attracted to Hancock, which is what makes it even more fearsome.

Hancock is also a user of the Kuja Haki, which is especially known to be powerful. Every single member of the tribe is a Haki user and Hancock, being their Empress, has access to all three types, and has likely refined them to a very high level.
