In One Piece, Zoro and Sanji are the second and the third strongest members of the Straw Hat Pirates respectively. Together with Luffy, they form the Monster Trio and they're capable of taking down most threats in the world of One Piece.
Although these two are quite formidable together, they barely ever team up because of the friendly rivalry they share with each other. If Zoro and Sanji were to unite their forces, there are several powerful teams they could easily topple. Here are five teams Zoro and Sanji should be able to defeat in battle, along with five duos they would not stand a chance against.
10 Can Beat: Daifuku & Oven
Oven and Daifuku are the third and the fourth sons of the Yonko Charlotte Linlin respectively. They're quite powerful and have a bounty of 300 million berries on each of their heads.
Daifuku and Oven are strong, however, with Zoro and Sanji receiving new powers in the Wano arc, they are not going to pose much of a threat to them. Daifuku and Oven should be easily handled by the Straw Hats' powerful pair.
9 Can't Beat: Garp & Roger
Garp and Roger are two of the most powerful One Piece characters in history and the two have fought each other countless times, as mentioned by Roger himself.
Despite being enemies, the two have also teamed up with each other to defeat Rocks. Very few characters could ever put up a fight against these monsters, especially since this duo came about while the characters were at the height of their powers. While Zoro and Sanji are extremely powerful together, they simply don't compare to Garp and Roger.
8 Can Beat: King & Queen
King and Queen are two of Kaido's three All-Stars and hold the status of right-hand men to a Yonko. They're incredibly powerful, as evident from the bounty of Queen, which is 1.320 billion berries and King's, which is unknown but likely higher.
King and Queen are quite similar to Zoro and Sanji in terms of their relationship and with Luffy going up against Kaido, viewers could possibly see this matchup happen in Wano. Zoro and Sanji aren't as strong as them right now, but through growth during the fight, they can overcome this obstacle.
7 Can't Beat: Shanks & Benn Beckman
Shanks and his right-hand man, Benn Beckman, are two fearsome pirates and the strongest in the Red-Hair Pirates. Whereas Shanks is described as the light, Benn Beckman is known as the dark that balances him out.
The two are likely incredibly powerful together and barely anyone in the One Piece world can put up a fight against them. Zoro and Sanji have ways to go before they can even manage to graze them in battle.
6 Can Beat: Franky & Brook
Another popular duo from the Straw Hat Pirates, Franky and Brook share a great relationship with each other and ride into battle together at times. The two are a threat to most pirates and they'll only continue to grow stronger in the future.
When compared to Zoro and Sanji, however, Franky and Brook fall short by quite a margin. The two possess neither the skill nor the tenacity to take down their crewmates in battle.
5 Can't Beat: Garp & Sengoku
Garp and Sengoku are the most formidable Marines to ever serve the organization. Together, they've put an end to countless pirates and clashed against some of the strongest, including the likes of Roger, Whitebeard, and also Shiki.
Both of them hold legendary status in the One Piece world and they can't be taken down easily by anyone. Zoro and Sanji are not at the level where they pose any threat to the two at the moment.
4 Can Beat: Smoker & Tashigi
Smoker and Tashigi are members of the Navy's G-5 Unit and they both wield great authority. While Smoker is a Marine Vice-Admiral, Tashigi is a Marine Captain. Both of them are decent Haki users as well.
Although they are powerful, it's quite difficult to imagine Smoker and Tashigi facing off against Zoro and Sanji and coming out with a victory. With the Raid Suit, Sanji is more than capable of taking on a Vice-Admiral of the Navy, as is Zoro with Enma.
3 Can't Beat: Kaido & Big Mom
Kaido and Big Mom recently teamed up to form the greatest known pirate crew in the entire world of One Piece and essentially recreate the Rocks. Both of them are equally powerful and have a bounty of over 4 billion berries.
Together, Kaido and Big Mom can't be defeated by even the Navy and they seem almost unbeatable. When it comes to Zoro and Sanji's chances of pulling off something like defeating Kaido and Big Mom, the odds are completely against them.
2 Can Beat: Cavendish & Bartolomeo
Two pirate captains of the new generation, Cavendish and Bartolomeo serve as the First and the Second ship captains of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet respectively.
They are a very powerful team and a display of their skills was given to the fans during the Dressrosa arc of One Piece. Strong as they might be, defeating Zoro and Sanji in combat is an uphill task for Cavendish and Bartolomeo. A victory is something they definitely can't accomplish as they are now.
1 Can't Beat: Roger & Whitebeard
Roger and Whitebeard were rivals of the old era, but like Garp and Roger, they shared a great bond with each other. They two fought on countless occasions, but still had great respect for each other.
Together, they would make an unstoppable team that no force in the world could possibly defeat. Zoro and Sanji might be fan-favorites but there is simply no way for them to beat these monstrous pirates.
