One Piece: 5 Power-Ups We Want To See In Wano (& 5 Characters Who Deserve Them)

The Wano Country arc is the climax to one of the biggest sagas of One Piece and will essentially serve as a battlefield for some of the most incredible fights that fans have been waiting years to see brought to life in glorious animation. With all the characters finally getting their time to shine after the time-skip, there will, inevitably, be power-ups in the arc.

When it comes to the Straw Hat Pirates, lots of characters need to strut their stuff and in doing so, fans will experience a whole new world of power-ups for them. Here are five power-ups we wanna see get used in Wano, and five characters who deserve the said power-ups.

10 POWER-UP: Armament Haki

Armament Haki is one of the biggest and most useful power-ups in all of One Piece. It allows the user to manifest their spirit and use it for offensive or defensive purposes. This Haki is quite easy to find in the New World and several characters who should've had it by now don't.

With Wano being the biggest battle that possibly even surpasses the clash at Marineford, fans are anxiously waiting for several characters to gain this power.

9 DESERVES ARMAMENT HAKI: Nico Robin

Nico Robin is one of the most powerful members of the Straw Hat Pirates and yet, she is a character fans haven't seen fighting in years. It goes without saying that Robin is an impressive fighter and her former role as Crocodile's Number 2 just goes to show that.

With Armament Haki, Robin is going to be quite difficult to take on in battle for anyone and fans can't wait for her to finally gain this power.

8 POWER-UP: Zeus & Prometheus

Zeus and Prometheus are two of Big Mom's strongest Homies. Unlike the other Homies, Zeus and Prometheus are quite special as they have Big Mom's very own soul fragments.

With Zeus, one can summon thunderclouds and wreak havoc, while Prometheus allows a person to summon heavenly fire itself. Both of them are in possession of Big Mom at the moment, however, a certain character could do with them at her aid.

7 DESERVES ZEUS & PROMETHEUS: Nami

Nami is the Navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates and although she's not one of their main fighters, she isn't scared to take on the strongest of enemies when necessary.

Nami already had access to Zeus for quite a while until Big Mom retrieved him during the raid on Onigashima. However, if Big Mom ends up falling in the arc, Zeus and Prometheus falling in Nami's hands to make her stronger would be perfect.

6 POWER-UP: Future Sight Haki

Observation Haki is arguably the most basic Haki type in the story, however, like every other type of Haki, it can be taken to the next level as well. Once someone trains it beyond all limits, they gain the power to look into the future itself.

Luffy is quite good at using this ability but Charlotte Katakuri is an arguably better one. Of course, many other Observation Haki specialists deserve this power-up and at Onigashima, we could see one particular person achieve this.

5 DESERVES FUTURE SIGHT HAKI: Sanji

Sanji is the cook of the Straw Hat Pirates and also one of the main fighters of the crew. After Luffy and Zoro, he's the third strongest member in the crew and according to Oda, he specializes in Observation Haki.

Sanji is one of the very best Observation Haki users in the story and him awakening Future Sight in his big fight at Onigashima would make perfect sense.

4 POWER-UP: Ashura (With Haki)

Ashura is a demonic form that Roronoa Zoro was able to manifest during the Enies Lobby arc in his fight against Kaku. Later on, this form popped up once again when the Straw Hat Pirates took on a Pacifista at Sabaody Archipelago.

After the time-skip, fans haven't seen this power being used again and now that Zoro is an adept Haki user, it is going to be stronger than ever.

3 DESERVES ASHURA (WITH HAKI): Roronoa Zoro

Ashura is a power-up that is unique to Roronoa Zoro, so of course, there is only going to be one user of this ability. During the Wano Country arc, Zoro is likely to clash with some very powerful fighters such as King, or as some like to think, maybe even Kaido himself.

Being able to use Nine-Sword Style would be a massive help for the Straw Hat swordsman as all the characters that he'll be up against will be levels above him in terms of skill.

2 POWER-UP: Advanced Ryou

Ryou is an ability that most Samurai in Wano Country possess. The basic stage of this power allows a character to make their Ryou flow over short distances and use it to coat objects.

There is also an advanced level of this power that can be used to destroy things from the inside out, causing much greater damage in the process. A bunch of people with this ability has shown up recently but its true applications remain to be seen.

1 DESERVED ADVANCED RYOU: Luffy

After losing to Kaido in Kuri, Luffy has been training his Haki to ensure that he has what it takes to break through Kaido's tough skin. Thanks to help from Hyogoro, Luffy had successfully learned how to use the advanced form of Ryou.

Although he's already demonstrated the basic usage of this ability, fans are yet to see this power being combined with his Gears. It could also be possible for Luffy to create a Gear completely focused on the usage of the Advanced Ryou.
