Each member of the Straw Hats joined the crew with a specific dream in their mind. Roronoa Zoro joined Luffy on his journey with the solemn goal of becoming the strongest swordsman in the world. Zoro has fought against some really strong characters so far and the competition will only get stiffer as One Piece edges closer to its end.
Zoro has improved greatly from his first encounter with Mihawk in East Blue. He has gained the ability to use Haki, which allows him to fight against devil fruit users. He's still got potential that he will be keen to fulfill in the future. Zoro has cemented his place as one of the strongest swordsmen, but there are some characters whom he still cannot beat.
10 CAN BEAT: Dracule Mihawk
Mihawk holds the title of the Strongest Swordsman in the World. Every swordsman aspires to surpass Mihawk and create a legacy of their own. Dracule Mihawk wields the all-black blade Yoru, which is one of the few known Supreme Grade swords.
So far, Mihawk remains unparalleled when it comes to swordfight and Zoro is still not ready to face Mihawk and defeat him.
9 STAND NO CHANCE: Cavendish
He is the captain of the Beautiful Pirates and a Super Rookie of his own generation. Cavendish is a talented swordsman who wields Durandal. Cavendish has another personality known as Hakuba, and in that form, Cavendish attacks everyone without discrimination.
He is incredibly fast for the human eye to see, but an Observation Haki user like Zoro can easily dodge his attacks. Zoro's Haki is far superior to that Cavendish, so the former would win easily.
8 CAN BEAT: Kozuki Oden
Kozuki Oden was the daimyo of Kuri. He was an extraordinary swordsman, who managed to clash against Whitebeard and Roger. Oden's Haki was so powerful that he managed to slash Kaido and thus, making him the first person to scar Kaido.
During their fight, Oden had the upper hand for the most part and he was only beaten by a dirty move played by Kaido's accomplices. Zoro has a long way to go before he can beat someone like Oden.
7 STAND NO CHANCE: Killer
Killer is the right-hand man of Eustass Kid. Like Zoro, he is one of the members of the Worst Generation. Killer uses two blades to fight and he has earned a reputation for being notorious like his captain.
Killer and Zoro have already fought once at Wano, but neither of them was at full-power. Zoro has received a big powerup in the form of Enma and it is highly unlikely that Killer would manage to draw the fight if they fought once again.
6 CAN BEAT: King
He is the second strongest member of the Animal Kingdom Pirates. King's strength is outstanding as he managed to throw down Big Mom's ship with relative ease.
He is yet to go all out in a fight, but the fans can expect that to change pretty soon. Many fans consider King to be Zoro's opponent during the Wano arc, however, Zoro hasn't displayed any skill that would allow him to take on and beat King in a battle.
5 STAND NO CHANCE: Charlotte Cracker
Charlotte Cracker is one of the Three Sweet Commanders of the Big Mom Pirates, which puts him among the strongest fighters in the crew. Cracker possesses the Bisu Bisu no Mi and it allows him to freely create biscuits.
He can create several biscuit soldiers that are almost to cut without top-notch Haki. This is where Zoro's Enma gives him the edge; the sword's ability to draw out Haki will allow Zoro to dice through Cracker's biscuit soldiers.
4 CAN BEAT: Vista
Vista is the former Fifth Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. He is one of the most well-known swordsmen in the series. His skill with the swords was acknowledged by Dracule Mihawk.
Vista fought against Mihawk at Marineford and he managed to hold ground against the latter without any difficulty. Vista also managed to halt the advances of Akainu albeit with the help of Marco. Zoro will have to work even more if he has to beat Vista.
3 STAND NO CHANCE: Momonga
Momonga is a Navy Vice-Admiral. He is one of the few Vice-Admirals who have shown that they fight against strong pirates. Momonga is a user of Rokushiki and he can also use two types of Haki. Momonga's intelligence is admirable as he was able to find out a way to avoid being petrified by Boa Hancock's devil fruit ability.
He has great strength which proved when he sliced up a Sea King with relative ease. Zoro has more feats to his name than Momonga, all of which point towards an easy victory for the pirate.
2 CAN BEAT: Charlotte Smoothie
She is Totto Land's Minister of Juice. Her devil, Shibo Shibo no Mi, allows her liquid from the body of both living and non-living beings. Smoothie hasn't gone all out in the series yet, but that might change in Wano.
Smoothie had a small tussle with Reiju at Whole Cake Island and the latter suffered a crushing a defeat. It will take Zoro a bit more time before he beat the likes of Smoothie.
1 STAND NO CHANCE: Hawkins
Hawkins is a notorious pirate from North Blue and he's the captain of the Hawkins Pirates. He is also known as the "Magician." Currently, Hawkins serves as a Headliner in the Animal Kingdom Pirates.
He has fought against Zoro, and there's a lot of time for a round two. The fight was very close and now Zoro has Enma by his side, which makes it almost impossible for Hawkins to beat him.
