The Wano Country arc on One Piece is heating up with every passing chapter and the story is near its climax right now. Throughout the arc, some incredible characters have been introduced to the fans, some who people had only heard legends about, and others who were revealed in the land of Wano itself.
To make Wano the biggest and the best arc of One Piece to date, Oda has introduced some incredible characters who have done great to make this arc as exciting as possible. Here are the 10 best characters introduced in Wano Country so far.
10 Black Maria
Black Maria is one of the members of the Flying Six of Kaido and is among the strongest characters in the Wano Country arc. She ranks directly below the All-Stars in terms of authority and has her own dominion in the Onigashima castle.
Although she definitely has Devil Fruit powers up her sleeve, they remain unknown right now. Black Maria is likely going to fight one of the Straw Hats in the massive battle that is ensuing on Onigashima.
9 Queen
Also known as 'The Plague,' Queen is one of the All-Stars of Kaido and he has a bounty of 1.32 billion Berries on his head. Queen made his introduction towards the end of the first Act of Wano.
Being one of Kaido's All-Stars, only a few in the arc are stronger than Queen and he is going to be one of the most important characters in the Onigashima War, and a man worth as much as him is going to prove to be a huge threat for whoever decides to take him on in battle.
8 Ulti
Another one of the Tobi Roppo, Ulti was introduced during the Third Act of the Wano Country arc alongside all the other members of this group as well. She's one of the youngest members of the group, the only one younger than her being her little brother, Page One.
Ulti is a dinosaur Zoan user and has the power to transform into a pachycephalosaurus and its hybrid at will. She's also a strong Haki user, as noticed by Monkey D. Luffy during their short clash. Above everything, Ulti's bold personality is what makes her incredibly fun to watch.
7 Okiku
Kikunojo, also known as Okiku, is one of the Nine Red Scabbards, the samurai of the former Daimyo of Kuri, Kozuki Oden. She was introduced during the first Act of the Wano Country arc. Kiku is one of the strongest characters in the Wano Country arc, as evident from her amazing display against Kanjuro and then Kaido.
She holds the title of "Kikunojo of the Lingering Snow," and according to her, any wound left by her sword hurts even in the afterlife.
6 King
The strongest All-Star of Kaido, King holds great power and authority in the Beasts Pirates, which is second only to Kaido himself. He holds the power of the Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Pteranodon which allows him to become the giant winged creature and its hybrid at will.
King likely has a bounty greater than 1.32 billion Berries as he's slightly stronger than Queen. In the Onigashima War, he's going to play a pivotal role.
5 Yamato
Introduced during the Third Act of Wano, Yamato is the son of Kaido and a character who quickly became important in the story. Inheriting the will of Oden, Yamato wants to free Wano from Kaido's rule and eventually do what Oden couldn't do.
He's allied with Luffy and is willing to fight his own father to fulfill Oden's wishes. Furthermore, Yamato holds access to Oden's logbook and has this got great secrets under his belt.
4 O-Tama
O-Tama made her introduction in the very first Act of the Wano Country arc. Although her exact origins are unknown, she lives with Tenguyama Hitetsu in Amigasa village, situated in Kuri.
Tama is one of the biggest sources of motivation for Luffy to bring down Kaido and free Wano Country, and thus, is one of the most important characters in the arc. Her Devil Fruit holds the power to control beasts and has come in handy in several situations during the arc.
3 Hiyori
The daughter of Kozuki Oden, Hiyori acted as the Great Oiran of Wano and went by the name of Komurasaki during the first act of the story. With time, she revealed her real identity to Zoro.
Being Oden's daughter, Hiyori holds a great grudge against Orochi and Kaido and has believed in her mother's 20-year-old prophecy. Come the end of the arc, she will, more likely than not, come into power and bring peace to the land of Wano.
2 Denjiro
Formerly known as Kyoshiro the Mad, Denjiro is one of the Nine Red Scabbards of Kozuki Oden. After the death of his liege lord, he took Orochi's side, all the while making preparation for the war that was to come after 20 years.
Along with Kin'emon, Denjiro is among the strongest characters in the Akazaya Nine and he's already injured Kaido. His last stand will likely be against the Yonko, where he will fight him until his dying breath.
1 Kozuki Oden
First mentioned during the Zou arc of One Piece, Kozuki Oden was properly introduced in the story at the beginning of the Third Act of the Wano Country arc.
Oden and his story is the biggest reason why the war of Wano Country is as intense as it is right now. He's the reason behind the Scabbards rage and is also deeply tied to the history of Wano, along with the secrets about Laugh Tale.
