Attack on Titan The Final Season Trailer Teases an Action-Packed Series Finale

Attack on Titan The Final Season gave fans a preliminary look at the series finale with an action-packed trailer.

The half-a-minute promotional video showcased the highly anticipated climactic final battle, wherein Eren Jaeger must finally confront his former allies. The trailer additionally confirmed the rumored release date for the Attack on Titan The Final Season finale, which was previously leaked by an unlisted video posted by Japanese mass media publishing company Pony Canyon.

Based on mangaka Hajime Isayama's massively popular manga series of the same name, Attack on Titan is a dark action series set in a world where giant cannibalistic humanoids called Titans have seemingly forced the remnants of humanity to hide behind three colossal walls. The series premiered in 2013 under the purview of Wit Studio and was welcomed with overwhelming acclaim for its spectacular animation and gripping narrative. It has since become one of the most popular anime titles of all time, with the series even securing the prestigious Digital Content of the Year Award offered by the Japanese government's Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.

Attack on Titan The Final Chapters

Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 4 will cover the final chapters of the critically acclaimed manga series. Eren, now in control of the Founding Titan, has initiated the Rumbling, an apocalyptic event that saw hundreds of Colossal Titans stampeding the lands beyond Paradis Island. Desperate to prevent more bloodshed, Levi's Special Operations Squad forms an uneasy alliance with the Marleyan Titan Shifters in a final bid to stop Eren and the Rumbling.

While longtime fans of the franchise are eager to see the much-awaited conclusion to Attack on Titan's decade-long run, some viewers have also expressed their worries regarding the source material's controversial endings. Many readers criticized the manga's conclusion, with some fans claiming the ending felt rushed and left much to be desired regarding pacing and proper characterization. Isayama himself admitted that he harbored his own reservations regarding Attack on Titan's ending and whether he truly delivered a satisfying conclusion to the beloved series. "I still have doubts within myself," he said. "Did I land it? I'm not even so sure. I still struggle on this point and I'm very sorry about that."

Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 4 premieres Nov. 4 and will be available to stream on Crunchyroll.
