Toho Animation has released an official trailer for Spy X Family Season 2.
The hit anime took the world by storm when the first season dropped, and fans have been eager to see the return of the Forger family. The trailer picks up where the first season ended, with the Forger family trying to "live their lives" while some are trying to accomplish peace between two nations. Season 2 will see many developments and arcs that fans have been asking for, including a potential date between the two members of the "Forger Family."
The Spy X Family Is Back
Other "misadventures" that fans can expect include Anya trying and failing to do well in the academy she's been enrolled in to ensure her "father's" mission goes through. Plus, Yor will be going on more assassination missions which she only did a few of in the first season. The trailer also highlights many moments of the family in action, together, and interacting with other characters who were introduced in the first season, like Lloyd's "partner in crime." The new season won't be the only new content that fans can look forward to, as the franchise has an upcoming movie on December 22 titled Spy X Family: Code White.
The plot of Spy X Family focuses on a spy known as "Twilight." He's the best in the country and never fails a mission. However, his greatest mission comes when the tension between his country Westalis and its neighbor Ostandia escalates. With a potential war on the horizon, Twilight is dispatched to try and see one of the men responsible for possibly declaring a future war and getting him to back down. The problem is that to get close to the man, Donovan Desmond, he needs backup, and Twilight is on his own.
Thus, he quickly puts together a family through a clerk named Yor and adopts a young girl named Anya. They work together to get Anya into an esteemed academy where Desmond's son is to try and get close to him so they can potentially meet his father. The problem for the now-named Loid Forger and his "family" is that Yor is a secret assassin, and Anya is a telepath. That makes the family prone to all sorts of dangers, including Anya knowing her parents' secrets but not spoiling them because she really likes her new family. The fate of the two nations now lies in the hands of the Forgers.
Spy X Family Season 2 will arrive on October 7.
