Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia, Dragon Ball Super All Make NYT Bestseller List

Gege Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen, Kōhei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia and Toyotarō and Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball Super have all made The New York Times' bestseller list.

The New York Times posted the Graphic Books and Manga bestseller list on their official website in early October. Jujutsu Kaisen had two entries, with Volumes 1 and 20 ranking No. 14 and No. 9, respectively. Dragon Ball Super Volume 19 ranked at No. 11. My Hero Academia ranked highest among the three titles, with Volume 35 landing the No. 3 spot behind only Hooky Volume 3 and Twenty Thousand Fleas Under the Sea. The New York Times previously released its inaugural updated Graphic Books and Manga bestseller list four years ago in October 2019.

Kōhei Horikoshi wrote and illustrated My Hero Academia, and the manga began serialization in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump in July 2014. Shueisha has collected My Hero Academia's chapters into 38 tankōbon (standalone) volumes, the latest of which was released in June 2023. The manga has spawned various spinoffs and adaptations in other media.

Toyotarō and Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball Super manga began serialization in V Jump's August 2015 issue. Shueisha collects the chapters into standalone volumes, with the first released in April 2016. Dragon Ball Super, much like My Hero Academia, has a popular anime adaptation. Viz Media possesses the English Language license for both the Dragon Ball Super and My Hero Academia manga.

Gege Akutami created the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, which has also received several adaptations in various media. Jujutsu Kaisen has been serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump since March 2018, with its chapters collected and published in 24 standalone volumes thus far. Viz Media also has the English Language release license for the manga and has published Jujutsu Kaisen in print since December 2019. Shueisha publishes the series in English on its Manga Plus online platform.

Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia and Dragon Ball Super are all available on Viz Media's online platform.
