10 Best Boruto Fights, Ranked

One of the most impressive aspects of the Naruto series was the epic fights. The manga had many dynamic ones, which the anime and animated movies brought to life in stellar fashion. Boruto follows suit, upping the ante even more due to the evolution of the digital era.

Creator Masashi Kishimoto and his team understood how to make things better across all mediums. As a result, the Boruto manga and anime has quite a segment of the fanbase adamant it tops Naruto in terms of brawls and action sequences.

10 Kawaki Blew Garo Up In Horrifying Fashion

10 Best Boruto Fights, Ranked

This arc found Kawaki trying to flee from his ill-fated destiny to be Isshiki's vessel. Sadly, Garo -- one of the Kara hunters -- tracked him down, using his blasters to damage Kawaki. However, as Boruto's crew looked on, they saw a pure savage unleashed. Kawaki used his speed and giant claw hand to impale Garo. Kawaki then utilized the energy he stored up in his Karma mark from absorbing Garo's blasts.

He walked up, chided the man and fried him with a giant blast. This showed Kawaki had a dark edge, while displaying the exact reason Isshiki wanted him: so he could use the teenager and be reborn as an Ōtsutsuki lord. Kawaki passed out, but the fight revealed he and Boruto had Karma marks that intrinsically linked their destinies, and teased that once Konoha took Kawaki in and trained him, he would become a weapon of mass destruction.

9 Daemon Mutilated Bug's Guards

10 Best Boruto Fights, Ranked

When Code realized he needed help to fulfill his objective as Isshiki's true heir, he went to one of Kara's scientific lairs, freeing the cyborgs, Eida and Daemon. The siblings seemed like a quirky couple until Bug's (the caretaker) guards attacked. One tried to use a blaster, but it backfired and blew his head out. Another grabbed an ax, only for it to end up in his skull. And another grabbed a sword, but his head got magically lopped off.

Code realized Daemon could reflect attacks. Even if the enemy merely thought of it, once Daemon had contact with any human skin, even from afar, the opposition would be killed. It didn't matter if Daemon and his contact person weren't aware of the attacks. This made Daemon seem like a god in a fight that was short but sweet. It also teased that the siblings had higher-level Ōtsutsuki material in their cyborg bodies.

8 Boruto Assembled a Hit Squad to Destroy Urashiki

Urashiki was one of the Ōtsutsuki agents sent to aid Momoshiki and Kinshiki. He was created exclusively for the anime, lurking in the background and observing. In time, he used his Rinnegan to teleport around and his chakra rod to steal people's techniques. He went back in time to drain a young Naruto's chakra, only for the Kurasaki relic used to pull Sasuke and Boruto over, too.

It culminated in a dire showdown outside Konoha. Naruto and Jiraiya joined, helping the heroes from the future against a villain who now mastered all elements. Urashiki eventually turned into a monster, but even he couldn't withstand one of the series' most dynamite combos. Sasuke used his Lightning, while Jiraiya, Boruto and kid Naruto used their Rasengans to obliterate the enemy. The heroes returned to their timeline, ready to train for when more aliens came. This episode affirmed why sometimes these heavy-duty scraps are much better in motion than in manga.

7 Naruto's Alliance Brutally Decimated Momoshiki

10 Best Boruto Fights, Ranked

Momoshiki and Kinshiki kidnapped Naruto to drain him of his godlike Kurama chakra in the first main arc of the Boruto era. Sasuke and the Kages came to the rescue but they were overpowered. Momoshiki used his powers to absorb everyone's attacks, as well as Kinshiki's essence. It required Sasuke and Naruto to combine their Susanoo and Fox forms, respectively, to fight Momoshiki's golem.

This was another fluid bout the anime improved upon. It took place in 2015's Boruto: Naruto the Movie, but when the anime retold it in 2018, it added more action and retooled Momoshiki's design to make him scarier. In the end, Sasuke used his Substitution Jutsu as a distraction, allowing Boruto and Naruto to use their combined Rasengan to kill the tyrant. Sadly, this led to Momoshiki placing a Karma mark on the boy, enabling him to possess the teenager down the line.

6 Isshiki & Kashin Koji Rained Down Utter Destruction

Kashin Koji is the Jiraiya clone who infiltrated Kara and tried to kill Isshiki in his Jigen form. Firstly, Koji fought him in his monk form at the Kara lair, using a series of Fire and Earth Techniques to harm Jigen's human frame. He even teleported flames from a volcano to burn the villain up, rather than chakra-generated fire that Jigen could absorb with his Karma mark. Using his Raging Mane move and Sage Mode took a lot out of Koji.

As a result, a broken Jigen was left with no choice but to summon his Ōtsutsuki form. After transforming into Isshiki, he used taijutsu -- his power to shrink objects (Sukunahikona) and teleport them in (Daikokuten) -- which literally brought the place down on Koji. Koji would have to teleport out using his summoning toad, realizing he was but a man fighting a god. Still, this was an explosive affair that gave fans a darker spin on Jiraiya.

5 Delta Taught the Hokage the Power of Science

10 Best Boruto Fights, Ranked

When Delta snuck into Konoha to kidnap Kawaki, she was eager to kill Naruto and Boruto for Isshiki. It led to a brutal brawl in the forest, where Naruto learned the power of science. Delta used her eye lasers, a la the X-Men's Cyclops, and her extended limbs to damage the Hokage. Not to mention, she absorbed his Rasengan attacks with her eyes and fired them back at him.

It showed Naruto that this was a new era where a scientific ninja tool like Delta could surpass the mystic ways of the shinobi. Delta was super-quick, attacking Boruto, Kawaki and even Himawari along the way to distract the Hokage. Luckily, Naruto overloaded her circuits with an Odama Rasengan and left her in a giant crevice. But even then, he knew Isshiki and Kara stockpiled soldiers that even his Sage Mode and Kurama would have problems with.

4 Code Showed His True Mettle Against Boruto & Kawaki

10 Best Boruto Fights, Ranked

Code came after Kawaki on the outskirts of Konoha, only to be ambushed by Boruto. Naruto's son used Rasengans, his Lightning Technique and his clawed arm as he tapped into his Karma mark. However, Code's Karma gave him a clawed arm, too.

Along with his teleporting bands, Code proved too much, beating down Boruto and smashing Kawaki anytime he intervened. This showed Code wasn't to be messed with and that he had the power of an Ōtsutsuki thanks to the mark Isshiki left him. This was another brawl that the anime made better than the lore. It ended with a weary Boruto being overtaken by Momoshiki's spirit.

3 Naruto's Baryon Mode Created a Nailbiting Finale vs. Isshiki

10 Best Boruto Fights, Ranked

Eventually, Ishhiki got his wish, fighting Naruto, Sasuke, Boruto and Kawaki in his secret dimension. He planned to implant a Karma mark back on Kawaki so he could have a vessel to be reborn in. Boruto would suffice as well, which led to Isshiki using the boys as smoke screens. Thanks to his cubes, he also distorted his chakra signature.

This meant the only person who could truly fight him was a Naruto who accessed the full power of Kurama. Together, they became the most powerful shinobi in the world, harnessing this Baryon Mode to tackle the villain. The anime added deep cuts to Naruto's speed, power and how he used his tails as tentacles to show Isshiki he could be a god, too. It led to Isshiki's body being depleted and Kawaki finishing him off, although Naruto was left nearly dead. While the Hokage lived, the brawl caused Kurama to die.

2 Momoshiki Nearly Murdered Sasuke & Kawaki

10 Best Boruto Fights, Ranked

After Isshiki perished, Momoshiki took over Boruto's body. He stabbed Sasuke in the eye, removing his Rinnegan. He then took a kunai to Kawaki, coming off like a slasher. This was a macabre brawl, made even worse by Naruto being unconscious. Momoshiki spotted how vulnerable the heroes were, using the Giant Rasengan and Shadow Clones, while Sasuke had no choice but to go for the kill, deploying his fire and lightning blasts.

Kawaki chimed in, harnessing his Karma to try to blow Momoshiki up. In the end, Kawaki tried to roast himself, so Momoshiki wouldn't have a sacrifice to offer to the Ten Tails and God Tree. Momoshiki prevented this and gained the upper hand by sniping Sasuke out with his Vanishing Rasengan. Thankfully, Boruto regained control, which inspired Amado to come up with meds to suppress Momoshiki's spirit.

1 Momoshiki vs. Code & Kawaki Ended In Tragedy

10 Best Boruto Fights, Ranked

Despite Amado trying to use pills to help Boruto, Momoshiki possessed the kid fully in the aforementioned Code brawl. The villain initially used giant Rasengans, as well as the Rasengan Bullet on Code to take him out of the mix. The possessed boy then fired at Naruto, only for Kawaki to activate his Karma and Ōtsutsuki form to absorb the blast. It led to a remix of the Naruto vs. Sasuke fight, as Momoshiki unleashed his most destructive Rasengans.

Kawaki, however, used the Sukunahikona to shrink things down and the Daikokuten to drop giant cubes, chakra rods and other rubble on Momoshiki. This drained Momoshiki, which allowed Boruto's persona to revert and take over. However, the terrifying fight ended with Kawaki using his mutated arms to impale and kill Boruto -- a pact they made to ensure Momoshiki could never take over again. It was quite heartbreaking, leaving a wounded Naruto in tears. Momoshiki's spirit would dissipate to resurrect the boy, paving the way for the Two Blue Vortex story.
