10 Best Voice Actors in Jujutsu Kaisen's English Dub & Who They Play

Jujutsu Kaisen has made a splash in the anime community. It has some of the best, most fluid animation, and the story grabs audiences and never lets go. Another reason for its success is the acting in the show, particularly the English dub. While the Japanese voice cast is fantastic, the English dub allows an even broader range of fans to enjoy this haunting tale.

The English dub cast is full of outstanding, talented actors, but some shine as the best. Whether they're portraying heroes, villains, or something in between, these voice actors give their characters life. Audiences can feel the difference when voice actors are passionate about their characters versus when they aren't, and the Jujutsu Kaisen cast never lets viewers down.

10 Lex Lang Portrays A Sorcerer's Descent

Lex Lang has had a long career both behind the scenes and in front of the mic. His credits include beloved video game and television characters such as Goemon Ishikawa from Lupin III and Doctor Neo Cortext from the Crash Bandicoot games. Yet, he has most recently become lauded for his portrayal of Suguru Geto in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Geto has a lot of character development - especially in season 2 - and not all of it is positive. In this way, Lang presents a complex character who is coming to terms with his increasingly dark belief that humans are lesser beings than Sorcerers.

Lang also technically plays two characters as Geto, since "present day" Geto is really the Cursed Spirit, Kenjaku in disguise. Lang creates nuances in both performances that not only help audiences see that Geto isn't acting like his younger self, but also allow for Geto's portrayal to be both sympathetic and irredeemable at the same time.

9 Nicolas Roye Presents Two Sides Of Falling Down A Dark Path

Nicolas Roye's characters seem to have the worst luck in Jujutsu Kaisen. Although he is known for characters in other roles, like Nicol Ascart in My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!! and Chuuya Nakahara in Bungou Stray Dogs, Roye's biggest recent claims to fame are as both Junpei Yoshino and Toji Fushiguro in Jujutsu Kaisen.

Both characters have tragic stories. Junpei is certainly more sympathetic than Toji, but Roye's performance helps audiences to see a softer side to Toji's viciousness upon occasion. Both Junpei and Toji had tough childhoods, but they deal with their current emotions in different ways.

Roye expertly portrays both Junpei's seething anger and Toji's quiet apathy to his own cruelty. Roye's performances prove that characters don't have to be all good or all bad to be deeply compelling.

8 David Vincent Captures The Spirit Of Today's Workforce

With just one sentence, David Vincent ingratiates himself with viewers everywhere, especially people in the current workforce. David Vincent isn't a stranger to playing both heroic roles such as Senketsu in Kill la Kill and villainous roles like Gilgamesh in the Fate franchise. However, it's his dry, beaten-down performance as Kento Nanami that has captured fans' hearts.

Nanami is only twenty-eight in the show, but he has been so worn down by a corporate job and the physical and psychological demands of being a Sorcerer, that he has almost given up. He continues to fight because it's his job, and he does want to save people, but he doesn't typically do any more than is specifically asked of him.

Vincent splendidly captures Nanami's desire for apathy and rule-following, because he's almost too worn out to question anyone's directions. Vincent accurately portrays a harsh reality for a lot of working adults through Nanami.

7 Anne Yatco Gives Life To A Bubbly & Ruthless Character

Anne Yatco has played many characters on both television and in video games, including Sabine Cheng in Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir and the most recent iteration of Izzy from Digimon Adventure (2023). She also voiced Raiden Shogun in Genshin Impact. However, her turn as the vivacious Nobara Kugisaki is one of her best roles.

Kugisaki is a well-rounded character who embodies both a typical teenage girl and a ruthless combatant. Yatco skillfully lends her voice to each side of Kugisaki's identity to create a beautifully refined character. Unlike a lot of anime females from other properties, Kugisaki feels like a real person, which is made all the better because of Yatco's wonderful voice.

6 Robbie Daymond Presents A Rising Jujutsu Star

Robbie Daymond has voiced a lot of different characters in his career. Notably, he has portrayed Goro Akechi in Persona 5: The Animation and has lent his voice to the suave Mamoru Chiba or Tuxedo Mask in the most recent iterations of the Sailor Moon franchise. Recently, Daymond’s performance as Megumi Fushiguro has received a lot of acclaim.

Fushiguro is an interesting character. He is technically a member of the Zenin Clan, but his loyalties are solely with Jujutsu High and his other mentors and friends. Since he was raised by Satoru Gojo, Megumi has a knack for combat, but also a smart mouth when people annoy him.

Daymond helps bring all these character traits to light in a brilliant performance. Daymond gives Fushiguro all the angst and bravado of a normal teenager with the increased instability of a young Sorcerer realizing his true power. Fushiguro is a great character made all the better by Daymond’s voice acting.

5 Allegra Clark Plays Opposing Characters

Like Nicolas Roye, Allegra Clark voices two different Jujutsu Kaisen characters, which is no easy feat in an anime like this. However, where Roye’s were somewhat similar character types, Clark’s are at opposite ends of the spectrum.

The two roles she plays in Jujutsu Kaisen are Kasumi Miwa and Maki Zenin. Maki is a strong character. She has had to fight hard for her place at Jujutsu High, and she doesn’t take any shenanigans from anyone. Miwa, meanwhile, is a lot kinder, but not as skilled in combat.

Even so, they two both show bravery in the face of danger. Clark deftly brings both girls to life and makes them so distinct that many fans miss that they are voiced by the same person. Clark is also known for her roles as Bloodhound in Apex Legends and Dorothea in Fire Emblem: Three Heroes.

4 Adam McArthur Gives Audiences Raw Emotion

Adam McArthur expertly handles all of Yuji Itadori's immense energy. McArthur is not a stranger to voicing teenage characters, such as Marco Diaz in Star vs. The Forces of Evil and Chifuyu Matsuno in Tokyo Revengers. Itadori is no different.

Itadori is impulsive and idealistic, which isn't the greatest combination for a Jujutsu Sorcerer, but he manages to make it work. McArthur expertly highlights Itadori's playfulness in conjunction with his strong sense of justice.

However, he shines the most in the most recent season when Itadori discovers the destruction Sukuna has wrought using his body. The torment that McArthur portrays is soul-crushing. McArthur voices Itadori with such raw emotion that his cries still echo in fans' ears today.

3 Lucien Dodge Plays A Hero & A Villain

Lucien Dodge has played an eclectic range of characters throughout his career. Notably, Dodge has voiced characters like the demon Akaza from Demon Slayer and several Spike Chunsoft characters, such as Hifumi Yamada, K1-B0, and Yuma Kokohead.

Because Dodge is known for voicing so many different characters, it is not surprising that he voices more than one character in Jujutsu Kaisen. Dodge's lesser-known role in the show is as Takuma Ino. Ino is eager to please, especially where his senpai, Kento Nanami, is concerned.

Dodge plays this wonderfully. He gives Ino a proper level of respect and insecurity that shows how much he wants to please. On the other hand, Dodge also plays one of the main antagonists of the show, Mahito.

Mahito is a young, increasingly powerful Cursed Spirit with absolutely no regard for any life but his own. Dodge gives Mahito a playfully sinister attitude that makes him even more terrifying than other Curses. Dodge offters both Ino and Mahito the perfect voices that embody each of their individual personalities.

2 Ray Chase Is The King Of Curses

Ray Chase has the unenviable task of voicing the most violent and dangerous character in the series, Ryoumen Sukuna. Chase is known for voicing all sorts of characters, but especially bombastic ones.

The flamboyant Sound Hashira, Tengen Uzui from Demon Slayer and the dramatic Bruno Bucciarati from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure are two such characters. As the King of Curses, Sukuna is no stranger to having all eyes on him.

Chase gives Sukuna a deep, demonic voice, which expertly contrasts Adam McArthur's young and carefree portrayal of Yuji Itadori. Sukuna is the quintessential silver-tongued devil who knows just what to say to get what he wants and waits in the wings until the perfect moment.

Chase imbues all of these qualities into his performance. Surprisingly, Sukuna isn't the only character Chase plays in Jujutsu Kaisen. He also voices the family-oriented Curse, Choso - who he skillfully performs with a range of guttural emotions, despite his short time onscreen so far.

1 Kaiji Tang Is Satoru Gojo

Kaiji Tang has had a varied career. He's played anime heartthrobs like Archer from the Fate series and Jinshi from The Apothecary Diaries to Pokémon like Detective Pikachu in the eponymous video game. His role as Satoru Gojo, though, has given him the most attention.

Tang has become Satoru Gojo. Tang's charismatic performance as the best Sorcerer in Jujutsu Kaisen has garnered fans around the world. His portrayal of Gojo is so popular that sound bites can still be heard all over social media. Tang ensures that Gojo is the most memorable character by using his voice to expertly capture the raw confidence and strength of such a dynamic character.
