The secondary antagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen and the master behind the Culling Game, Kenjaku has been lurking in the shadows of the jujutsu world for a thousand years, all to accomplish his nefarious goal. His current objective appears to be merging humanity with Tengen and causing people to evolve onto the next stage through the resulting surge of cursed energy. However, many mysteries still surround Kenjaku’s plan and role in the story.
The series is yet to reveal why Kenjaku wants to perform the merger, what role Yuji, his son, plays in his grand scheme, and how he is going to manipulate the narrative now that he was seemingly taken out of the story. Despite being beheaded by Yuta, Kenjaku is unlikely to simply vanish from the plot, and fans are excited to see what exactly he is planning next.
7 No One Knows the Origins of Yuji’s New Powers
Yuji’s evolving abilities, particularly his cursed technique, have been a point of eager debate in the fandom since the beginning of the series. The Hidden Inventory arc follows the gradual destruction of their friendship, and the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie culminates with Gojo having to kill Geto after he is defeated by Yuta Okkotsu.
Geto’s body, which Gojo couldn’t bring himself to destroy, would later be possessed by Kenjaku. Yet, one mystery remains unanswered in Gojo and Geto’s arc, and that is the last words Gojo speaks to his best friend. In the finale of the Culling Game arc, JJK goes through one of its biggest plot twists, as Sukuna separates himself from Yuji and takes over the body of Megumi Fushiguro. Despite transforming into his true form after his battle with Gojo, Sukuna remains in control of Megumi’s body, whose soul can’t fight back against the King of Curses.
The current status of the real Megumi is unknown, as his body must have suffered substantial damage during Sukuna’s latest feats. Most importantly, fans wonder if Megumi can even be saved, or if the sorcerers will have to kill him to defeat the King of Curses. 4 Fans Have Been Waiting for an Update on Nobara’s Status for Years
A beloved member of JJK’s original main trio, Nobara Kugisaki suffered a jarring and heartbreaking fate during the Shibuya Incident arc. Blindsided by Mahito, the young sorceress got hit with the curse spirit’s Idle Transfiguration technique, which seemingly killed her. Unlike most of Gojo’s techniques, flight and teleportation are never explained within the context of his other powers. Fans have theorized that Gojo might be using the space manipulation properties of Six Eyes and Limitless to instantaneously cover large distances and float in the air. However, the true nature of Gojo’s flying and teleportation techniques has never been revealed.
2 Fans Are Desperate to Know More About Uraume, Sukuna’s Long-Time Supporter
Similarly to Sukuna, his most loyal subordinate, The Frozen Star Uraume, is one of JJK’s most enigmatic characters, and fans have been waiting to learn their secrets for a long time. No moment in Jujutsu Kaisen has come even close to shocking fans as much as Satoru Gojo’s unexpected and sudden death in chapter 236. A turning point of the Shinjuku Showdown arc and by far the most devastating plot twist in the series, Gojo’s defeat in the fight with Sukuna left fans heartbroken and confused.
However, most readers are yet to give up hope, as many clues point towards the strongest sorcerer’s inevitable revival.
