Naruto's Otsutusuki Clan is a race of alien parasites that reached the planet over a thousand years ago. Their origins remain shrouded in space-faring mystery, but despite their enigmatic profile, the Otsutsuki Clan's monstrous power is completely undeniable. They threaten the safety of not just the Leaf Village, but the entire shinobi world on multiple occasions. In fact, the main aim of the Otsutsuki is to strip the Earth clean of life and chakra, leaving a desiccated husk behind.
All things considered, the Otsutsuki Clan is easily the strongest family to ever appear in the Naruto franchise. Almost every Otsutsuki in the series has access to powerful Kekkei Genkai and godly abilities that dwarf the majority of Earth's Kages. However, even among these cataclysmic threats, there is a clear pecking order when it comes to strength.

10 Toneri Otsutsuki Is A Canonical Naruto Movie Villain
Toneri Otsutsuki is one of the descendants of Hamura Otsutsuki, standing as the sole survivor of the Otsutsuki Clan's branch family on the moon. He served as the primary antagonist for The Last: Naruto the Movie and holds the rare honor of being a canonical film villain. Being an Otsutsuki, Toneri was blessed with incredible powers that surpass the vast majority of characters seen in the series.
Although Toneri was initially blinded by the Energy Vessel, he temporarily obtained perfect x-ray sight after taking Hanabi's Byakugan. During this time period, however, Toneri could use the Tenseigan with exceptional efficiency, giving him far superior strength and durability. By splitting celestial bodies and wielding the Tenseigan Chakra Mode, he was even able to hold his own against Naruto Uzumaki's Kurama Chakra Mode.
9 Urashiki Otsutsuki Fell Short Of The Fandom's Expectations
Introduced in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Urashiki Otsutsuki made his appearance alongside Kinshiki and Momoshiki during the Versus Momoshiki arc. Similar to his two clan mates, Urashiki wields nigh-unimaginable power that poses a threat to the Leaf Village's strongest fighters. He proved capable of fighting against two different Kage without even revealing all his powers. Even Toneri couldn't stand against Urashiki.
Urashiki was confirmed to be stronger than even Sasuke, but this didn't make much difference in the end. Although Urashiki was built up to be monstrously powerful, he ultimately fell well short of fans' expectations. His Otsutsuki powers were ultimately unable to defeat Gaara, Jiraiya, or Sasuke despite their gravely injured states, leaving a victory over Toneri Otsutsuki as his primary claim to fame.
8 Indra Otsutsuki Inherited His Father's Overwhelming Power
Indra Otsutsuki, the eldest son of Hagoromo Otsutsuki, was a born genius who inherited the overwhelming powers of his father. His natural gifts allowed him to pick up concepts like Ninshu with ease. From his early childhood, he displayed signs of genius — such as inventing ninjutsu itself — that shocked even the Sage of Six Paths.
Some of the other abilities devised by Indra include the Body Replacement and Clone Techniques, which play major roles in Naruto. However, Indra didn't get to lead the clan after the death of his father, which made him obsess over revenge from the one who was chosen in his stead, his brother, Asura. This vengeful pursuit would lay the foundation for the cycle of hatred that came to define the troublesome Uchiha Clan.
7 Asura Otsutsuki Trained For Years To Reach His Brother's Level
Born a weakling, Asura Otsutsuki walked a difficult path in life and trained for years to get close to the level of his talented brother, Indra. His ability to make friends and relate to others is what led Hagoromo to eventually choose him as the successor to the Sage of Six Paths. In this form, Asura was capable of unique powers, such as flight, manifesting Truth-Seeking Balls, as well as spawning the Six Paths: Kunitsukami avatar.
Asura's powers were greater than his brother's, and that's why he was able to defeat him in combat. Thanks to Hagoromo's influence, Asura ultimately surpassed his gifted older brother. The two kept reincarnating until Naruto and Sasuke settled the score for good and ended their ceaseless cycle of hatred. Interestingly, the names Asura and Indra come from Indian mythology — except Indra is technically supposed to be the good one.
6 Hamura Otsutsuki's Legacy Will Always Be Defined By Hagoromo
Hamura Otsutsuki was Hagoromo's twin brother — and as Kaguya Otsutsuki's child, he was born with tremendous powers. Like his brother, Hamura wielded unimaginable strength, possessing immense chakra reserves and multiple landscape-leveling techniques. He was remarkably proficient at unarmed combat, forcing even Hagoromo on the backfoot on several occasions.
Hagoromo and Hamura actually managed to take down the Ten-Tails, the strongest Tailed Beast in Naruto, albeit with enormous difficulty. By joining forces with Hagoromo, Hamura was able to fight Kaguya Otsutsuki for months without tiring. The two eventually sealed her away, and although Hamura's legacy will always be defined by his relationship with his brother, he more than evidenced his strength as a fighter.
5 Kinshiki Otsutsuki Is The Assigned Guardian Of Momoshiki
Introduced in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Kinshiki is the partner and assigned guardian of Momoshiki Otsutsuki, his foster child. He possessed the power of the Byakugan — although his eyes were noted to be slightly different from those of the Hyuga Clan — as well as many of the Otsutsuki clan's strongest techniques. Many Boruto characters actually considered him far more dangerous than Kaguya herself.
Kinshiki's powers were great enough to split planets with a casual slice of his weapons. He could also imbibe most forms of ninjutsu, transforming them into lightsaber-esque constructs for battle. Two separate Kage weren't even capable of restraining Kinshiki. Were this not enough evidence of the Otsutsuki's strength, then his battles against Sasuke Uchiha and the Kage eliminate any doubt.
4 Momoshiki Otsutsuki Is One Of The Biggest Threats In The Shinobi World
Kinshiki's partner, Momoshiki Otsutsuki, was several times stronger than him and easily one of the biggest threats that the shinobi world had ever encountered. After eating Kinshiki, he became powerful enough to fight against both Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha at the same time. Momoshiki was arrogant enough to assert that he had the power to neutralize even Kaguya, though it's clear that he was certainly on her level.
Momoshiki ultimately ended up dying at the hands of Boruto Uzumaki. However, his spirit remains alive within the young ninja's Kama seal. Whether Momoshiki returns to full strength remains to be seen, but he will undoubtedly play a role in the events of Boruto for the foreseeable future. At this point, he's only able to control Boruto's body for brief durations.
3 Hagoromo Otsutsuki Is Also Known As The Sage Of Six Paths
Also known as the Sage of Six Paths, Hagoromo Otsutsuki was Kaguya's son and inherited her godly powers right from birth. He also bore the Treasured Tools of the Six Paths, granting him five unique abilities. For some reason, Hagoromo was much stronger than his brother, Hamura, causing even their overpowered mother to feel threatened by him. Along with his brother's help, Hagoromo was able to fight and defeat Kaguya Otsutsuki and end her tyrannical grasp on humanity.
After Kaguya's sealing, Hagoromo became even stronger by becoming the first Jinchuriki of the Ten-Tails and developing the foundation for ninjutsu itself. Hagoromo wanted to be a symbol of peace for the shinobi world, hoping that everyone could eventually live together in harmony. Unfortunately, people quickly began exploiting chakra for violence, thereby giving rise to the art of ninjutsu.
2 Kaguya Otsutsuki Is The Final Antagonist Of The Naruto Series
Kaguya Otsutsuki was the final antagonist of the Naruto series and easily one of the strongest villains in the entirety of Naruto: Shippuden. She was the progenitor of chakra, and thus, all of it originally belonged to her. By tricking her partner, Isshiki, she was able to take control of the entire world, only being defeated through the efforts of her twin sons.
At her full power, Kaguya was able to fight against Haruma and Hagoromo for months without stopping. It appears that Kaguya had some truly astonishing abilities from the beginning, such as hypnosis, interstellar transport, shockwave generation, and memory erasure. After consuming the God Tree's fruit, however, even her sons were helpless to stop her onslaught. It takes Sasuke, Kakashi, Sakura, and Naruto to ultimately defeat this overpowered villain.
1 Isshiki Otsutsuki Might Well Be The Strongest Member Of His Clan
As quite possibly the strongest character in Boruto, Isshiki Otsutsuki was once Kaguya's partner. After being betrayed and deceived by her, he was able to use Jigen as his vessel. That said, even Jigen's extremely durable body was barely able to handle Isshiki's full power, which was supposedly capable of planetary annihilation. He eventually used the body to simultaneously defeat both Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha.
Isshiki's goal was to transform Kawaki into his next vessel and turn him into a perfect Otsutsuki as time passed. Isshiki wasn't able to actualize this goal, however, as he was defeated by Naruto after Kurama granted Naruto access to Baryon Mode. Kurama's sacrifice is a clear indication of how strong Isshiki was and what was necessary to defeat him. All things considered, however, Isshiki is clearly the strongest Otsutsuki Clan member in the Naruto franchise.
