Protagonist Ichigo Kurosaki has a fairly average build for a young man his age, but how tall is Ichigo, exactly? According to official stats, Ichigo stands at 174 centimeters, or 5 ft 8.5 in. As a grown man, he was slightly taller, at 181 centimeters, or 5 ft 11.25 in. Incidentally, these measurements make Ichigo Kurosaki taller than his "big three" counterparts, since Naruto Uzumaki from Naruto reached 180 cm as a grown man, and Monkey D. Luffy of One Piece fame is 174 centimeters tall after the timeskip.
Orihime Inoue is Ichigo's Good Friend Turned Lover
Ichigo's good friend and later wife, Orihime Inoue, is the second-shortest main character of Bleach and ranks among the shortest female characters in the series. She stands at 157 centimeters, or 5 ft 2 in, and her height changed very little as the story of Bleach continued. Ichigo's good friend Yasutora Sado, usually going by his nickname Chad, was introduced early in the series as a gentle giant, a towering kuudere who had sworn years ago to never abuse his strength and live his life as a pacifist. Chad may be intimidating at an incredible 197 cm, or 6 ft 5.75 cm, but he only uses his size to defend other people rather than hurt them, so he is widely trusted and liked at his school. Notably, Chad did not grow any taller as Bleach continued, suggesting he had his final growth spurt early.
Isshin Kurosaki Retired From the Gotei 13 to Start a Family

Masaki Kurosaki Was a Loving Mother of Three
Ichigo's late mother, Masaki Kurosaki, stood at a fairly modest 161 cm, or about 5 ft 3 in, as a grown woman. She was definitely shorter than her tall, musclebound husband, but that didn't hold her back in combat as a Quincy. Masaki didn't need brute strength or size to fight — she could use powerful bows and arrows to face foes like White, and Isshin was impressed. Not long after that, Masaki abandoned the Quincy tribe to form a family with Isshin.
Yuzu & Karin Kurosaki Are Ichigo's Younger Twin Sisters

Lieutenant Renji Abarai of squad 6 is actually taller than his own Captain, standing at an impressive 188 cm, or 6 ft 2 inches. This makes him one of the taller Lieutenants, and he towers over his childhood friend and eventual wife, Rukia Kuchiki. He is also one of the tallest members of Ichigo's team of heroes, only being shorter than the towering Chad.

No matter her modest frame, Unohana was once widely feared as a deadly swordsman and was one of the Gotei 13's original Captains, a vicious squad of criminals who defeated Yhwach's Quincy army centuries in the past. And even if Unohana was 43 centimeters shorter than her protégé, Kenpachi Zaraki, she could easily stand up to him in a duel and felt much bigger than she was.
Sajin Komamura is a Towering Wolf-Man
Captain Sajin Komamura of squad 7 has the distinction of being the Gotei 13's tallest Soul Reaper by far, standing at an incredible 288 cm, or 9 ft 5.5 in. Sajin evidently got that tall due to his wolfman ancestry, and his white-furred grandfather was even bigger than him. Most likely, every member of their canine clan is enormous, though their wolfish appearance and possibly their intimidating size led them to be outcasts in the Soul Society. Sajin is the exception by joining the Gotei 13 as a valued member.
Rangiku Matsumoto is Moderately Tall and Loves to Party
Lieutenant Rangiku Matsumoto of squad 10 ranks as one of the tallest women in the Gotei 13, measuring in at 172 cm, or 5 ft 7.5 in, in between Ichigo's and Uryu's heights during the Soul Society story arc. Physically, Rangiku is tall and mature compared to her youthful Captain, but while she sometimes acts like a protective big sister, she usually goofs off and feels more like the younger sister at times compared to the stoic, dutiful Toshiro Hitsugaya.

The legendary founder of the Gotei 13, Head Captain Yamamoto, had overwhelming strength and spiritual pressure, far more than his modest frame would suggest. In the Soul Society arc, Yamamoto actually ranked among the shortest men in the Gotei 13, standing at 168 cm, or 5 ft 6 in. That said, Bleach fans should note that he tended to slouch due to his age, and it's possible that in his prime, he was a little taller, perhaps 170-172 cm.

Grimmjow Jeagerjaques is Much Taller Than His Rival, Ulquiorra
Grimmjow Jaegerjaques had a fairly average height and build among the oddly-shaped Espadas, shorter than giants like Yammy but taller than the surprisingly short Ulquiorra. His original dimensions as a panther-like Hollow are unknown, but as a humanoid Arrancar, Grimmjow looks like a typical male at 186 cm, or 6 ft 1 in. It's unclear if his released form, Pantera, makes him any taller or shorter with that form's feline legs and paw feet.
Ulquiorra Cifer Has Mediocre Height But Formidable Power
The fearsome 4th Espada, Ulquiorra Cifer, was one of the first of his kind to ever appear and evidently held a position of authority among the Espadas. Still, despite his overwhelming power and intimidating aura, he was one of the shortest Espadas at a modest 169 cm, or 5 ft 6.5 in. As is the case with many other Arrancars, it's unknown if Ulquiorra's zanpakuto release makes him any taller, such as his Segunda Etapa, which gives him long, slender legs with clawed feet.
Yammy Llargo is a Giant Who Got Even Bigger In His Released Form
Yammy Llargo is the tallest Espada and one of the biggest Arrancars overall, standing at 230 cm, or 7 ft 6.5 in. Yammy is every bit the cruel giant he appears to be, and when he releases his zanpakuto, Ira, he gets even bigger and meaner. Yammy is the only Arrancar whose size and power increase to reflect his anger, fitting his theme of rage and his zanpakuto's Spanish name. In his final fight in the Hueco Mundo arc, Yammy became a true titan with Ira's power, growing without any known limit until Captains Zaraki and Kuchiki finally slew him.
Nnoitora Gilga Is Tall, Thin, and Merciless
The 5th Espada, Nnoitora Gilga, is actually almost as tall as the villainous giant Yammy, though Nnoitora is far more slender, so it's not easy to tell this fact from a glance. The huge Nnoitora stands at 215 cm, or 7 ft 0.5 in, making him noticeably taller than his first opponent, the gentle giant Chad. Ichigo also noted that, aside from being tall, Nnoitora is much stronger than his skinny body would suggest, swinging his incredibly heavy zanpakuto Santa Teresa around with casual ease.
Coyote Starrk Is Somewhat Tall and Really Wants Friends
Coyote Starrk is the 1st Espada, or the Primera Espada, and he has a somewhat above-average height of 187 cm, or 6 ft 1.5 in. It isn't easy to tell exactly how tall Starrk is, though, since he mainly appeared while standing in the sky, and on the ground, he's often lazing around, refusing to stand tall and at attention.
Nelliel Tu Odelschwank Is One of the Tallest Women in Hueco Mundo
Nelliel Tu Odelschwank was introduced in her toddler form, with unknown height and weight. Her original adult form, meanwhile, stands at 176 cm, or 5 ft 9.25 in, making her one of the tallest female Arrancar, much taller than Loly and Menoly and just one centimeter taller than Tier Harribel, the 3rd Espada. It's also unknown how much Nelliel's centaur-style zanpakuto release, Gamuza, changes her height, if at all.
Aaroniero Arruruerie is Pretty Tall With His Glass Head
The 9th Espada, Aaroniero Arruruerie, had a bizarre and unique body among all Bleach characters. Somehow, as an Arrancar, he obtained a humanoid body with a glass flask for a head, like a test tube. Inside that flask was a red liquid that held his two round heads, each with a different voice. In his default form, Aaroniero measured in at 205 cm, or 6 ft 8.5 in, making him one of the tallest Arrancars aside from the oversized Yammy. He probably lost some height when he hid his tall head in his Kaien Shiba form, but that just makes his disguise more effective, since Kaien wasn't nearly that tall.

King Yhwach, the self-proclaimed father of all Quincy, is a fairly tall man at exactly 200 centimeters, 6 ft 7 in. He has an imposing presence thanks not just to his height, but also his unshakable confidence in his hidden Quincy empire's cause and his incredible spiritual pressure. He will use all that power to pursue his true goal: combining all worlds into a deathless state and eliminating the fear of death once and for all.
Jugram Haschwalth Is Yhwach's Most Important Ally
Yhwach's right-hand man, Jugram Haschwalth, is Sternritter B and is fairly tall in his own right, standing at 189 cm, or 6 ft 2.5 in. Jugram carries himself well as a moderately tall and enormously powerful Quincy, having a regal air about him and absolute confidence to match Yhwach's own.
Bambietta Basterbine is a Short Quincy With an Explosive Temper
Sternritter E, Bambietta Basterbine, made her explosive debut early in the Thousand-Year Blood War arc as an aggressive and playful antagonist who personally stole Sajin's bankai with her Quincy Medallion. Bambietta isn't particularly tall at 156 cm, or 5 ft 1.5 in, but she packs a lot of power into her small frame with The Explosion, allowing her to wipe out many Soul Reapers until Sajin finally defeated her.
Mask De Masculine is a Huge Sternritter With a Huge Ego
The wrestling-themed Sternritter S, Mask De Masculine, stands at the exact same height as his king, at 200 cm, or 6 ft 7 in. He may lack Yhwach's god-like powers, but Mask is still an imposing villain with his muscular frame and his energetic, reckless fighting style to match his "wrestling superstar" theme.
Äs Nödt Uses His Powers, Not His Size, to Scare People
The chilling Sternritter F, Äs Nödt, is nearly the same height as his primary Soul Reaper opponent, Byakuya Kuchiki. Äs Nödt stands at 179 cm, 5 ft 10.5 in, making him an average-height Sternritter male. However, Äs Nödt doesn't need brute strength or a huge frame to crush his enemies, since he weaponizes fear itself to destroy an opponent's mind and leave them vulnerable to his finishing moves. His Voll Stern Dich, Tatar Foras, turns him into a grotesque giant, but it's unknown how tall or how powerful that final form actually is.
Giselle Gewelle Can Turn Anyone Into a Zombie
Sternritter Z, Giselle Gewelle, made a strong impression in the second cour of the Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War arc because she could bleed onto people to take control of them as "zombie" minions, dead or alive. She even finished off her former friend Bambietta to control her zombie body, and she zombified several Soul Reaper Captains as well. Physically, Giselle isn't that impressive, standing at 160 cm, or roughly 5 ft 3 in, but she doesn't need to be big and strong to dominate the battlefield.
