New Naruto Eyewear Collection Sees U.S. Release After Spectacular Japan Debut

Japanese eyewear brand Jins has finally released their Naruto Shippuden glasses collection for purchase in the United States. The highly anticipated line will feature 10 new frames from seven of Naruto’s most beloved characters.

The new collection, now available online at JINS, was previously released in Japan in 2021. The U.S. release was first announced in a special pop-up at L.A. Comic Con 2023, along with a Jujutsu Kaisen collaboration that launched online in March. The Naruto collection includes 10 special frames, each designed to represent an iconic Naruto character, including Naruto, Sakura, Minato, Itachi, Kakashi and Gaara. Each pair of glasses is available in two colors and can be purchased as single lens correctors, readers (with magnification up to 2.0) or non-prescription glasses purely for fun and style. Other features are also available for an additional price, including an anti-scratch layer, blue-light blocker and various lens tints. Each pair also comes with a complimentary scroll-shaped glasses case and Naruto-themed microfiber lens cloth.

Naruto Uzumaki, the series’ protagonist and namesake, is depicted in three special frames. The Jins x Naruto titular character pair, available with beige or black frontal rims, has temples engraved with the Uzumaki Clan symbol and bright blue spherical temple tips to represent Naruto’s Rasengan jutsu. TMeanwhile, the Jins x Naruto Naruto Model2 pair, available with blue or black frontal rims, has temples engraved with Naruto’s name and the symbol of the Konohagakure Village, also known as the Village Hidden in the Leaves, Naruto’s hometown. The temple tips fade to orange and are engraved with the Uzumaki Clan symbol. Both of these pairs are priced at US$190. The Jins x Naruto Naruto SG pair is available in black or orange. These sunglasses feature Nine-Tailed Fox engravings and temple tips that turn into orange flames and cost $140.

Sasuke Uchiha, the male deuteragonist of Naruto Shippuden, is featured in two themed pairs -- one optical and one pair of sunglasses. The Jins x Naruto Sasuke optical pair is available with silver gray or black frames. The model has Sasuke’s name engraved on the left temple, pointed kunai-shaped temple tips and engravings of Sasuke’s Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan symbol, as well as his Sasuke’s Rinnegan symbol. These frames are priced at $190. The Jins x Naruto Sasuke SG frames are available in either matte black or gray. Each pair comes with kunai-adorned frame corners and Sasuke’s name, as well as the Uchiha Clan symbol. The Sasuke sunnies are priced at $140.

Naruto’s late father, Minato Namikaze, is also featured in the collection. The Jins x Naruto Minato frames are available in black and clear. The black version’s temples are engraved with Minato’s name and the Konohagakure Village symbol, with the right temple tip fading to clear and decorated with orange flames in representation of the haori that Minato wore as Hokage. The second version has clear rims with green translucent temples. The temples are branded with Mianto’s name and a kunai. The left temple tip is navy with a lightning bolt engraving -- an ode to Minato’s amazing speed and nickname, "Yellow Flash." Each version is priced at $140.

Sakura Uchiha, the female deuteragonist of Naruto Shippuden, is featured in a pair of pink frames. The glasses come in a lighter pink and dark pink with dark red rims, each engraved with Byakugou Seal, symbolic of Sakura’s Mitotic Regeneration jutsu, which appears as a diamond on her forehead. Both pairs feature temples with the Konohagakure Village symbol and rectangular temple tips in alternating light and darker pink colors, symbolic of Sakura’s typical attire. Each version is priced at $190.

Itachi Uchiha, Sasuke’s older brother and a tragic antagonist of the Naruto Shippuden series, is featured in a pair of rectangular frames. These frames are available in transparent black or gray, adorned with Itachi's Mangekyo Sharingan symbol. The outer temples are engraved with the red Akatsuki shinobi symbol, while the inner temples are engraved with a slashed Konoha symbol, symbolizing his broken ties with the Konohagakure Village symbol. Each version is priced at $190.

Kakashi Hatake, Naruto’s trainer and the sixth Hokage of the Konoha Village, is featured in a rectangular pair of metal-rimmed glasses. The first version comes with gray translucent frames and silver rims overlaid with a kunai symbol, with the temple tips engraved with Kakashi’s Mangekyo Sharingan, as well as a miniature metal plate on Kakashi’s forehead protector, engraved with the Konoha Village’s symbol. Each version is priced at $190.

Gaara, who first premiered as an antagonist in Naruto Shippuden and later became a powerful ally of Naruto’s, is featured in a pair of wire-rimmed glasses available in gold or dark brown. Both versions have curved temples designed to mimic the pouring of sand and feature inner temple engravings of the Sunagakure Village symbol. The temple tips are engraved with Gaara’s iconic forehead symbol (the "ai" kanji, which means "love") and the symbols engraved on Gaara’s ever-present sand gourd. Each version is priced at $190.

The Jins x Naruto Shippuden collaboration has an estimated four to six weeks for shipping. Naruto Shippuden is available to stream on Crunchyroll, Hulu and Prime Video.
