Demon Slayer's Tanjiro, Muichiro & Mitsuri Become Cover Models for Best-Selling Women's Magazine

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s Tanjiro, Muichiro and Mitsuri will be on the cover of the upcoming issue of a major Japanese fashion and lifestyle magazine. The magazine's release will follow the premiere of Demon Slayer's Season 4, set to be released this month.

Per Comic Natalie, the special edition of the magazine An An -- a top-selling women's fashion and lifestyle magazine, and one of Japan's biggest-selling magazines in the country -- will include an extendable cover page featuring three more characters: Inosuke, Zenitsu and Nezuko. Also included will be an eight-page feature containing interviews with the voice actors discussing the upcoming anime season of Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training Arc. The magazine's cover image can be seen below.

An An’s upcoming Demon Slayer issue is currently available for international pre-order on Amazon and priced at 780 yen -- approximately US$5.07. The special edition issue will hit stores and begin shipping out on May 15, three days after Demon Slayer’s highly anticipated Season 4 premiere on May 12.

Demon Slayer Has Appeared Twice Before on the Cover of Japan's An An Magazine

Originally created as the Japanese sister magazine to French women’s fashion and lifestyle magazine Elle, An An also occasionally runs anime features from major series -- typically those that have exported well for collector’s value, such as Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man. This is Demon Slayer’s third An An feature, previously receiving two other special editions (seen above) to promote Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, which featured cover art of Tanjiro and Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, and Demon Slayer: Entertainment District Arc, featuring cover art with Tanjiro and Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui.

Inosuke and Zenitsu Will Return to Demon Slayer Following Their Season 3 Absence

The upcoming issue’s cover art features Tanjiro with Mist Hashira Muichiro Tokito and Love Hashira Mitsuri Kanroji, whom he fought with in the most recent season, Demon Slayer: To the Swordsmith Village. The extendable cover page revealing Tanjiro’s sister, Nezuko Kamado, and fellow demon slayers/deuteragonists Inosuke Hashibira and Zenitsu Agatsuma, is a cute nod to the latter two’s return. Inosuke and Zenitsu were absent and sorely missed during the previous season but will be making an exciting return in the upcoming Hashira Training arc, which will likely be discussed in the eight-page feature interviewing the voice actors.

VAs Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro Kamado), Akari Kito (Nezuko Kamado), Hiroshi Shimono (Zenitsu Agatsuma), Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Inosuke Hashibira), Kengo Kawanishi (Muichiro Tokito) and Kana Hanazawa (Mitsuri Kanroji) will be discussing what the upcoming season will mean for their characters, particularly as Tanjiro, Inosuke and Zenitsu move into much more intense training. Meanwhile, Nezuko is adjusting to her awakened form, and Muichiro and Mitsuri continue to develop their skills after gaining their demon slayer marks.

Demon Slayer: To the Hashira Training's one-hour season premiere will be released on May 12 on Crunchyroll. Demon Slayer's special An An feature will be released on May 15.
